Bio Data:
Born in Vulcan but raised in New Tokyo, Earth, Kaeda struggles in her childhood being the youngest of four children and the only daughter to Admiral Sodrika and his wife.
She grows up ridiculed for her colorful lineage and physical appearance. Although she tries to keep it to herself, this aspect in her life gets her into trouble most of the time. Her Vulcan side would try to hinder her from engaging into fights when she is bullied in school, however, her emotional Human side triggers her short-fused Klingon temper, overruling her logical & rational side. Thus getting her into more trouble than she ought to be.
Being the youngest and the only female child, Kaeda loves her other older brothers. Yet she is more attached and close to her brother, Omri, despite their age gap of seven years. She joined Starfleet because of him. She also loves her parents very much. However, her father couldn’t get rid of the fact that his daughter is a well-known fire starter both as a child and as a cadet of Starfleet.
She is also quite proud of the achievements of her other siblings. Ku’sug, who is now a First Officer in the U.S.S. Isog’Ha. Ryu is a medical practitioner and instructor at Starfleet Medical. Omri, on the other hand, is a Security and Tactical Officer aboard the U.S.S. Hitokiri.
Easily angered by people who ridicule her family heritage, Kaeda usually gets into fights with fellow students in the schools she has been into. She was usually found in the school infirmary treated with a few facial cuts while the students she was fighting with were either treated for broken bones and deep wounds.
One day, she was bullied by a few grown boys from the senior class for being the “Shortest Klingon” known to the Federation. This got on her nerves so she started a fist fight with three bullies bigger than her.
Despite the lack in height, she won the fight with a broken rib and a bruised face over three big bullies who were treated in the infirmary for severe spinal trauma, broken arms and legs, lacerated faces, and one with a punctured lung due to an already broken rib driven further to his chest. The first person to know about the incident was her brother, Omri, who took her home and explained the incident to their parents.
A few days later, she was suggested by the Director of the school to continue her secondary education through home schooling because of her short-fused temper and her violent reactions to such ridicule.
In home school, she immersed herself in culture studies, arts and the sciences. However, she was more inclined into the computer sciences which she later majored in the Academy.
Note: Because of her colorful lineage, Kaeda like her brother, Omri, has embraced her Human-Klingon side unlike Ku’sug and Ryu who have preferred to study and perfect their Vulcan heritage. This is the reason why, no one in the right mind would make fun of this part of her life and ancestry.
In the USS Gemini, she worked as a Chief Engineer and met the love of her life, Chief Helmsman Liam Connory. Just like every relationship, Kaeda and Liam found a connection between their differences. This blossomed into a relationship Kaeda thought she would never experience again. In the course of their relationship, Liam helped Kaeda face her demons as well as heal “the pains” that she had been nursing the past couple of years. This strengthened the couple’s relationship towards each other.
In another incident in the Gemini, the helmsman helped her was when she heard the news of her father’s death through a call from her mother. To her, the death of her father meant only one thing: she was unable to lift the disgrace she had given to her family while she was at the Academy. She seemed to have reverted to her old self when Liam decided to help her out. After several weeks of his constant help, she was able to get over it.
Liam became the source of inspiration for Kaeda. He showed her that even though life does things to bring you down, you’ve got to always rise up and meet that challenge. So with his help, she was able to shelve that dark side of her persona.
During their last mission, their relationship almost ended because of an encounter with Kaeda’s former fiance, Alexandrei Ivanovich. However, this problem was solved eventually and the couple were married on the eve of March 31, 2381.
Just several weeks after the marriage, the news of the Gemini getting decommissioned broke out and was confirmed by their captain, Michael Greiner. Kaeda, knowing that she still has a lot of things to prove to her family as well as restore the family honor, decided to transfer to the USS White Dove. Pregnant or not, she became Chief Engineer of the ship, in the hopes that Liam would eventually follow her there.
But Liam never came and instead he had decided to stay in Earth, constantly persuading Kaeda in most of his transmissions that he wanted her to join him. She refused, despite the pain. She had to put her family’s honor above everything else.
During her stay in the White Dove, Kaeda’s pregnancy progressed in an unusually fast pace. She prematurely gave birth to Akira and Colleen Connory during their mission to the Cawthenian homeworld…

Counselor Deanna Troi’s Psycho-Medical Notes: The U.S.S. Hitokiri was one of the ships who fought during the encounter with the Borg in Wolf 359. Up until now, it is presumed to be lost in battle, and the crew dead especially Lt. Cmdr. Omri Sodrika. I remembered that she was in her final year at the Academy when the news was given to her. I was asked to take this case because of its gravity.
Cadet Sodrika was one of the best Holo-engineering and starship computer technology students in the Academy. I was told that she is hot-tempered but she is diligent, smart, and ingenious. She was also sociable to those around her. However after she was told of the loss of the U.S.S. Hitokiri, she became bitter, emotionally bottled-up, and violent. Although she continued to attend her Academy classes, she was often “mentally absent”. Her already short-fused Klingon temper became shorter at the mention of the war or anything that would relate to her loss. Also, she has been into more brawls with other cadets who make fun of her in Academy grounds. She has also been given a few warnings as well as suspensions for her behavior.
I have conversed with Admiral Sodrika and I can feel that he is disgraced at what her daughter has become and feels as though he had lost another child. He has not spoken to his daughter for months now and still refuses to talk to her until “she has lifted the disgrace that she has brought upon him and their family”.
Cadet Sodrika, on the other hand, refuses to talk to anyone. Figuratively speaking, she has created a wall around her that no one, not even her mother or her closest peers, has been able to penetrate. On our first few sessions, she was unsettled, angry at the Academy Administrators for sending her to me. She would just sit there in one corner, and I would hear nothing from her until the session is over. Not even a single word. However, after several sessions, she has miraculously opened up and poured out her sentiments.
After our last session before her graduation at the Academy, she has become a bit more restrained when it comes to her rage and she has found ways to vent her anger on — Holodeck Boxing and the Academy’s Boxing and wrestling club. So now Cadet Sodrika is a fine young woman but is extremely emotional. However, this doesn’t mean that she will not make a fine officer, for I know she will. She
just needs time to heal the wounds that she has been nursing. She also needs an opportunity to prove herself that she is not a loss to her father. I can vouch for her, she is indeed brilliant and if given a chance she do a lot for any Federation Ship or starbase she would be working on.
